Certificate IV in Mental Health CHC43315

The Certificate IV in Mental Health qualification reflects the role of workers who provide self-directed recovery-oriented support for people affected by mental illness and psychiatric disability. Our Certificate IV in Mental Health programme will see students understanding the role of workers involved with implementing community-based programs and activities focusing on mental health, mental illness and psychiatric disability. Additionally, the Certificate IV in Mental Health course will expose students to work that is undertaken in a range of community settings, such as community based non-government organisations, home based outreach, or supporting people in employment.

Students can expect to find a variety of professional opportunities in the field of community and personal service work. Upon completing the Certificate 4 in Mental Health course, they can expect to find work opportunities within the larger community care sector. Once they have graduated from the Certificate 4 in Mental Health programme, workers may be expected to carry out their work autonomously under the broad guidance of other practitioners and professionals.
